On-Site in 5 Business Days

When a key executive departs unexpectedly, your government can't wait months for a permanent hire. We place qualified interim managers on-site within as few as 5 business days.

Immediately Effective

Our interim professionals are seasoned public sector leaders who step in ready to lead — no learning curve, no onboarding delay. They maintain continuity from day one.

Below Total Cost of Compensation

Our interim placements come in below the total cost of a permanent executive's compensation package — with none of the long-term obligations.

Deep Talent Network

We draw from a nationwide network of experienced city managers, finance directors, police chiefs, HR directors, and department heads across every discipline.

5 Business Days

The 5-Day Interim Placement Process

From first call to signed engagement in as few as five business days.

1
Day 1

Preliminary Discussion & Tentative Agreement

A call to discuss the vacancy, salary range/benefits, and desired term. Client signs a Notice of Intent (NOI) to engage — we won't contact candidates until you're ready.

2
Day 2

Preliminary Candidates

We contact interim candidates, confirm availability/fit, and send 3–5 candidate bios and resumes within 2 business days — each with experience, education, current status, interest level, and any expected expenses.

3
Day 3

Set for Interview

You review bios and select which candidates to interview; we schedule within 2 business days.

4
Day 4

Interview & Select Interim

Video interviews via our conference room. Once you select your preferred candidate, we negotiate tentative terms between the city, the interim, and Gov+Temps.

5
Day 5

Engagement Terms

We provide a draft Engagement Agreement. Once executed, the Interim signs an Interim Professional Services Agreement covering terms, Code of Ethics, and Code of Conduct.

Our Warranty

We stand behind every placement — your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Our full team of Analysts and Consultants backstops your Interim with contracts, sample agreements, and data as needed.

If you're not satisfied with your interim, we'll replace them within 10 business days (or a timeframe that works for you).

We won't approach your Interim about other opportunities while they are engaged with your agency.

Cost Structure

We strive for terms at or below your total cost of compensation for the position. If your position's salary is $100,000/year with 30% benefits, we aim to find you the best candidate below $130,000 — we'd rather reduce our margin than lose your business.

Interim Consultant Fee

At or below annualized total compensation (salary + benefits), invoiced as a not-to-exceed monthly rate.

Service Fee

Generally 20% of the Interim Consultant Fee, billed monthly.

Additional Expenses (TBD)

Lodging, mileage, or travel as needed, determined once a candidate is selected.

Example — Interim Public Works Director

Annual Salary

$115,524–$143,040

Benefits

30%

Total Personnel Budget

$185,952 ($15,466/mo)

Interim Cost Range

$12,515–$15,466/mo

On-boarding & Engagement

What to expect once your interim leader is placed.

On-boarding

Your agency provides orientation (staff, workspace, equipment, documents, introductions) so the Interim is effective Day One.

Timesheets & Invoicing

Consultants maintain daily timesheets, invoiced bi-weekly or per contract terms.

Communications

We encourage active daily contact. The consultant must maintain at least weekly contact with Gov+Temps and flag any changes, successes, or risks.

Confidentiality

All consultants and interims sign an NDA and are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality.
